I’m Pete Cannizzaro.

I have been married to my high school sweetheart Ellen for 36 years. We have 3 grown children Alisha, Josh and Jake who all are in their 20’s. We have been in ministry for 36 years where I have served as youth, college and senior pastor, along with being a denominational leader, business owner, international prayer leader, and High School Bible teacher. I am presently the founder and director of SoulQuest Ministries because I am convinced that deeper intimacy in Christ and knowing our calling from Christ in the soul is essential! My purpose and passion is to equip God’s pastors and leaders to rekindle their fire for God and clarify their God given identity, calling and destiny.
I’ve been on the people side of ministry and life since my college days. Encountering God through His life-giving and life-transforming ways has been a highlight of my life. I’ve had the joy of witnessing this across generations and in many regions of our country.
With over 36 years of ministry experience—as a pastor, leader, teacher, international life developer, life coach, and professional counselor—I’ve had the honor of walking alongside others in their journeys of growth and transformation.
Undergraduate degree in Pastoral Ministries and Bible
Graduate degree: Master of Divinity
Doctorate in leadership development with focus on soul care
Over the years, I’ve led and facilitated many missions trips to more than 12 nations. I’ve served in various roles with College of Prayer International, which exists to help pastors and leaders be revived in God and in their ministry.
I’ve also taught and facilitated marriage retreats, seminars, and prayer gatherings throughout Africa, South America, and Europe,.
My Counseling Style
I’m an attentive listener. As I listen to your story, I’m also listening to the Holy Spirit for direction, wisdom, and words that will be helpful to you.
Counseling sessions take place in a small cabin next to my home. It’s casual and warm—not clinical. You’ll find the atmosphere comfortable and relaxing, a safe place to let your soul breathe.
My Family
My wife Ellen of over 36 years. is my soulmate. She’s not in the counseling room with me, but I do consult her from time to time for a woman’s perspective. She’s a great advocate for SoulQuest Counseling and makes sure that everyone who needs counseling gets it.
Our kids—Alisha, Josh, and Jake—are all adults now. Ellen and I are having a great time watching each of them pursue their own passions.
