Hi! I’m Pete Cannizzaro.

Lots of people call me “Dr. Pete.” If I were sitting in your seat, I would want to know some things about me before I took that first step towards scheduling an appointment. If after reading all of the following info, you still have questions, don’t hesitate to contact me and freely ask!

My Passions:

  • I am passionate about helping people encounter God and connect with him deeply.

  • I believe in God's healing of the soul because I see it in scripture and I've experienced it in my life!

  • It is my pleasure to walk alongside you in your healing journey.

  • I have a special heart for young adults – those in their 20’s and early 30’s, recognizing the struggles unique to this age range.

  • I partner with the Holy Spirit as I counsel. I depend on the Spirit to speak to you and me.

  • I believe in healing the soul because I’ve experienced it and all of the abundance that comes with healing.

My Counseling Style:

  • I’m a good attentive listener. As I’m listening to you, I’m also listening to the Holy Spirit for direction, wisdom and words that will be helpful to you.

  • My counseling space is a small cabin right next to my home. It’s casual and warm – not clinical. You will find the atmosphere to be comfortable and relaxing.

 

My Family:

  • My wife of over 32 years is my soulmate. She's not in the counseling room with me, but I do consult her from time to time for a woman's perspective. She is a great advocate for SoulQuest counseling and ensures everyone who needs counseling get counseling.

  • My kids, Alisha, Josh and Jake, are all adults now. Ellen and I are having a great time watching each of them pursue their own passions.

My Experience:

  • I have been in the people side of ministry and life since my college days. Encountering God through his life giving and life transforming ways has been a highlight. I have had the joy of seeing this with each generation in multiple regions of our country. I have over 32 years of experience in ministry as pastor, leader, teacher, international life developer, and professional counselor.

  • Undergraduate degree in Pastoral Ministries and Bible

  • Graduate Degree in Masters of Divinity 

  • Doctorate in Soul Care

INTERNATIONAL EXPERIENCE 

  • I've lead and facilitated many missions trips over the years to over 12 nations. 

  • I've served in various roles over the years for the College of Prayer International, existing to help pastors and leaders be revived in God and their ministry.

  • I've taught and facilitated marriage retreats, seminars and prayer gatherings in Africa, South America, Europe and Asia.
